Scór na bPáistí 2025
Congratulations to all our competitors who recently participated in Scór na bPáistí in Askeaton, Co. Limerick. Our school is proud of our pupils for representing us in this county final. We hope you are very proud of yourselves and the certificates you have been awarded.

Scór na bPáistí School of the Year 2025:
Milford National School was awarded Scór na bPáistí School of the Year in joint 1st place with Banogue National School. Comhgairdeas!!

Rince Foirne:
Congratulations to our figure dancers, Laoise Taylor, Kate Guiney, Alison Ryan, Olivia Counihan, Keeva O’ Brien, and Zoey Regan. who displayed ‘commendable confidence’ performing a ‘lovely and lively ‘Cor na Síog’. The girls danced beautifully and looked dazzling on stage. Maith sibh!

Amhránaíocht Aonair:
Congratulations to Zoey Slattery who came 3rd place out of 11 participants. Zoey has a ‘lovely, sweet voice’, and the song, Siúil a Rúin suited this song greatly. Maith thú, Zoey!

Aithriseoireacht/Scéalaíocht:
Congratulations to Grace Ryan who performed ‘Lockdown Days’, by Miriam Hannigan. Grace has a wonderful presence on stage. Her acting was excellent and the audience loved her recitation. Maith thú, Grace!

Bailéad Ghrúpa:
Congratulations to Zoey Slattery, Chloe O’Sullivan, Kate Guiney, Chloe O’Brien, and Aoibh Oyewumi who came 1st place out of 10 participants in the Ballad Group. They sounded beautiful, singing as one voice with ‘pitch perfect’ harmonies. Maith sibh!

Ceol Úirlise:
Congratulations to Liadh O’ Shea, on concertina, Laoise Taylor on fiddle, Kate Guiney on harp, Clara Reidy on tin whistle, and Sam Wilkinson on fiddle. They performed Tommy Mulhaires Jig. It was ‘lovely to see a great array of instruments’. They blended so well together and gave a super performance on the night. Maith sibh!
