A huge thank you to Joe Federico from Ulster Bank who dropped in to help 6th class with their MoneySense Workshop today for Maths Week .The MoneySense workshop provides bank employees with volunteering opportunities to work with a local school, while schools benefit from the real-life experience and expertise that volunteers can bring to young people’s learning in the classroom.

For our workshop the children learned about the importance of having a budget with ‘A Birthday Party’ as the overall theme. After a series of budgeting and planning tasks,  the children  presented their birthday party budget and plan to Joe through Google Slides. The results were excellent.

Joe was hugely impressed with the students noting how they were ‘full of creativity and great ideas.’
