The Puffins had a very special visitor last week. A good friend of Milford N.S.,  Champion Swimmer and World Record Holder, Bernard Cahill popped in to talk to the children about setting goals for themselves. Bernard talked about what it takes to achieve your dreams and the sacrifices that are required to do so. Putting in 35 hours a week in training while still studying in UL, he hopes to represent Ireland in swimming in the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Bernard received  4 gold medals in Australia in 2013 in the World Surf Lifesaving Championships and also achieved a World Record.

The children told each other what their ambitions are and hopefully planted a seed to achieve these dreams.
