Drumming Session with Dave!
Ms. Rael’s Senior Infant Class had lots of fun today drumming with Dave. They learned about the origin of the special drum, the Djembe, from Western Africa, what they were made from and how to play the drums using different parts of their bodies, and different parts of the drum.
They learned about rhythm, beat and patterns. Their favourite one was ‘Jabba Jabba Jembe!’ Thanks to Dave, and to Ms. Reidy for organising this lovely session for us all.
