Today we planted seeds to celebrate National Tree Day. We each brought in containers to plant our seeds in. Mr O’ Connor set up a planting station in the courtyard and we went out in groups to plant some seeds. First, we placed some sand in our containers and mixed it with some compost. Next, we carefully made a small hole in the compost to plant our conker. Then, we carefully patted the compost around the conker to make sure it was planted securely. We then brought home our plants to care for them and watch them grow. We learned that plants need soil, air, sunlight and water to grow!
