Lifelong Learning
During this week, March 23rd to March 27th, Milford NS celebrated Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival through a wide range of exciting activities, from the hurling, football, gym activties to choir and band practices, school garden planting, dramas in Irish and English, song composition, dancing, mini-sevens, athletics, active school activities as well as our normal classroom work. Mayor Michael Sheahan visited the school on Wednesday to help 5th class launch their innovative new product, Homez4Fonz, a product designed, produced and marketed by the children of 5th class as part of the Junior Entrepreneur Programme. We are also very grateful to Mary Fitzgerald, of the Woodlands Hotel, a main sponsor of the Junior Entrepreneur Programme, who came to Milford NS to support the launch on Wednesday.
It was an exciting week of active learning activities and the festival’s emphasis this year on Positive Learning was very much reflected in the wide range of FUN activities enjoyed by the children. Some of the activities from Limerick Learning Festival have been captured on video by Mr Gallagher.
